When will the new ISM Raceway be completed?
Why does ISM Raceway need a renovation?
What amenities and features are being added to my experience?
Each ticket holder will enter the renovated facility and sit in a 20” to 21” individual seat, with cup holders. They will have free in-seat Wi-Fi with unmatched views of the track. Pre-Race will take place now in front of the majority of the fans between Turns 3 and 4. You’ll also get a great view of Gatorade Victory Lane from your seats, but before you see your favorite driver ride in to grab his trophy, you’ll be in awe of the racing, which will definitely be shaken up with the new Start/Finish Line.
Other amenities and upgrades include The INfield, four new escalators and five new elevators to get you to and from your seat, a reconfigured DC Solar Power Pavilion, a new pedestrian tunnel with access to the Infield from the existing Turn 2, new ROLL-BAR, completely renovated suites, new concessions, new merchandise stands and more Guest Services and Medical Center locations.
When will tickets for the new ISM Raceway go on sale?
Will my seat really have more shade? How do you know this?
The new grandstands will provide excellent shade coverage, providing more comfort for you and your family. How do we know this? We conducted an extensive shade study. Pretty amazing, right? Goodbye, sun burn! Think we're crazy? View the shade study here!
What do the Drivers think about this track change?
How is the Pre-Race Pit Pass impacted?
The Pre-Race Pit Pass will be replaced by The INfield, which will feature views of The INfield that are sure to populate your Facebook feed for days. Let’s start with how you get there. A new pedestrian tunnel will be added underneath of the new grandstands, allowing for more convenient access to The INfield immediately after you enter the gates.
Once you are inside The INfield you’ll have the opportunity to watch your favorite teams prepare their car for race day, with the ability to look over a waist-high wall and right into the garages – no glass and no obstructions. Talk about picture perfect! And speaking of pictures, you’ll even be able to watch your favorite drivers in the sought-after Drivers Meetings by watching from the outside through glass walls. Go ahead and make that funny face at Denny Hamlin or pose for that epic “look-who’s-behind-me” selfie.
You also will have the opportunity to see Gatorade Victory Lane celebrations from a designated fan viewing area. On top of that, there will be more concessions, more bars, more restrooms and more areas to catch your breath from all of the exciting raceday festivities.
How will parking be impacted?
Will my camping space be impacted by the renovation?
Infield Camping will remain the same through the Spring NASCAR event in March 2018. Post that event, the Infield will be reconfigured to accommodate new race Series accommodations and The INfield experience.
While the majority of camping options will stay the same, with the removal of the Foyt, Bryan and Petty Grandstands, there is a new opportunity for camping spots. Individual spaces in this area will be offered with both Premium Track Viewable Spaces, as well as non-track viewable spaces.
