Christopher Shayne Band performs at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 11.

Fans will enjoy a full weekend lineup of entertainment for the Can-Am 500 race weekend at Phoenix Raceway, Nov. 11-13. This fall will feature a new post-race Phoenix Raceway After Dark show with Christopher Shayne on Friday, Nov. 11. PIR mainstays like Harry Luge and METALHEAD will return to Busch Garage all weekend long, while NASCAR’s favorite DJ Michaelis will be back to add his unique spin on driver introductions before the Can-Am 500 on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Famous for deconstructing popular music, PIR fans know DJ Michaelis for putting his own twist on the traditional driver introductions before the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. The West Coast DJ holds big room residencies in cities around the world including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Moscow and Bali, and has recently released new Trap and Progressive House music.

Arizona’s own Christopher Shayne will highlight Friday’s entertainment as he will be performing a post-race concert at the Fan Midway Stage immediately following the Lucas Oil 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Semi-Final Race on Nov. 11. Nationally known for his hard rock band Whiskey Six, Shayne introduces a new line-up in concert at PIR. The band brings southern-tinged desert rock with Christopher on lead vocals and guitar, playing songs with infectious hooks inspired by American music greats ranging from ZZ Top to The Black Crowes to Johnny Cash. A grandstand ticket to the Lucas Oil 150 includes access to the show.

Shayne is offering his track “Home” as a free download to the fans of PIR - just go to:

Prior to the Can-Am 500, multiplatinum rock band Hinder will also be performing a free concert for any fan with a grandstand ticket. The anthemic rock group known for their 2005 album Extreme Behavior featuring hit singles like “Lips of an Angel,” will entertain fans in the midway area at 10:30 a.m. MST.

Race weekend entertainment officially kicks off at the Busch Garage with The Crown Kings on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. Rocking the stage at PIR for over a decade, the Phoenix-based group of five have been performing together since 1998 and perform both original music and high-energy covers.

Hitting the Busch Garage on Thursday night, Harry Luge will take the stage at 9 p.m. and will also close out the weekend at Busch Garage with a performance on Saturday night at 9 p.m. The Arizona-born singer/songwriter is a favorite on the country music scene throughout the Southwest and has become a regular on the Busch Garage stage during PIR’s NASCAR weekends since 2005.

Georgia Chrome will light up the stage at the Busch Garage on Friday beginning at 7 p.m. The Arizona-based consists of bassist, guitarist, drummer, a male and female lead vocalist, one of which also plays a mean fiddle, and is well-known for their high-energy performances around the Valley.
