The NASCAR Nationwide Series team Baker Curb Racing has announced Miss Phoenix 2009, Ursulline Okonkwo, as an Honorary Crew Member for the Able Body Labor 200 race being held on Saturday, November 14 at Phoenix International Raceway.

"It is our pleasure to make Miss Phoenix 2009 our Honorary Crew Member for the November 14 race at Phoenix International Raceway," said Baker Curb spokesperson Jim Ed Oberst.

Miss Phoenix 2009 will be introduced as the Honorary Crew Member at the driver/crew chief meeting prior to the race, and will be on the pre-race ceremonies stage to shake hands and greet each of the Able Body Labor 200's 43 starters. Okonkwo will make a lap around the track with the pole-sitting driver prior to the green flag, and sit atop the pit box during a portion of the 200-mile race.

Miss Phoenix 2009, Ursulline Okonkwo, has been a Chandler resident for most of her life. In addition to pursuing a degree in Global Leadership emphasizing in Financial Management at Arizona State University, Okonkwo serves as president of the Arizona State chapter of the American Women's Business Association and is an assistant coach for Girls on the Run.

Okonkwo has also spoken to women's organizations and high school groups about the benefits of becoming a mentor in hopes of helping young girls across the Valley achieve their potential.

The Arizona FriendRaiser is part of Okonkwo's platform, "The Journey toward Empowering Women," a quest to make everlasting bonds with girls and women while she holds the crown and beyond.
